MLAA Recreational Basketball is one of the largest and most popular MLAA offerings each year. The MLAA co-ed instructional program for kindergarten will set the foundation for lifelong basketball skills, sportsmanship, and self-esteem.  Highlighted by fun activities and games to keep everyone interested.  Saturday mornings at Nokomis.

MLAA 1st  /2nd  grade basketball continues with more advanced basketball skills, small-sided games and moving toward 3 v 3 / 5 v 5 basketball.  Saturday afternoon at Vaughan Hall.

With regards to the kindergarten and 1st / 2nd grade instructional program, for this first time we will be partnering with the Fundamental Hoops team to instruct 2 sessions for each group!  Fundamental Hoops specializes in providing quality basketball instruction for student athletes and coaches in the South Jersey area.

Our 3rd-6th grade teams are an introduction to competitive team basketball in a fun and encouraging environment. Separate boys and girl’s teams (3/4 and 5/6) compete in the Pinelands League against teams from Medford Lakes, Tabernacle, Indian Mills, and Southampton. Local games are held in the historic Vaughan Hall (the Palestra of the Pines).

7th and 8th graders step up a level and play at the larger Neeta APR against Pinelands opponents. MLAA teams historically are very competitive and provide a great stepping-stone to high school competition. There is added emphasis on set plays and skills development.

Finally, we offer a HS boys league that also play at Neeta, against Pinelands opponents, a little less structured (less emphasis on organized plays with fewer practices) and still very competitive.

High School and Middle School registrations will remain open until Monday, December 1st
