2021 MLAA Pickleball - FLEX League

Interested in playing in the Summer Flex League?

Summer Flex League runs from July through August, with playoffs in September.

How does the Pickleball FLEX league work?

  • With flexible scheduling, players have the option of playing any time as long as the matches are played by the end of the season.

Do the matches have to be played in order?

  • Matches can be played in any order as long as both teams agree upon a date and each is played by the match deadline.

Will there be a Final?

  • Based on the Team Standings from each match,  the top 2 teams will play in the end of season Finals.

Game Play—Doubles Play

  • A match consists of three games with each game to 11. One point is awarded for each game won.
  • To determine the team that serves first, choose the team on the Flag pole side to serve first or use rock, paper, scissors.
  • Any player may ask to switch sides in the third game once a team reaches a score of 6.
  • Play your third game even if you have won the first two as we will be keeping track of matches and games won as a tie breaker
  • Either team can report the score after the match has been played.

Team Standings

  • Standings are based on your Match record for the season.
  • If there is a tie, then placement will be determined by matches, games record, then head to head.

Tie Break as follows:

  1. Match record
  2. Games record
  3. Head to Head
