Mondays (5 to 8:00 p.m.) – High Competitive (Advanced/Intermediate)
Tuesdays (5 to 8:00 p.m.) – Low Competitive (Beginner/Intermediate)
Wednesdays (5:00 to 8:00 p.m.) – High Competitive (Advanced/Intermediate)
Thursdays (5 to 8:00 p.m.) – Low Competitive (Beginner/Intermediate)
Fridays – Open Night (No reserved times)
Saturdays (9 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.) – All Levels

MLAA Pickleball - Rules of Play

Court Assignments (see picture below)

  1. Court 1 – Low Competitive
  2. Court 2 – Low Competitive
  3. Court 3 – High Competitive
  4. Court 4 – High competitive
  • When waiting a court, please hang-up your paddle on the fence by one of the Gates. 
  1. Gate 1: Waiting for Courts 1 & 2 (Low Competitive)
  2. Gate 2: Waiting for Courts 3 & 4 (High Competitive)
  3. Note: All players are welcome on any court they choose. 
  4. Please be respectful of the level of play on the courts.

Games are played to 11 win by 2.  Winning team stays and Losing team rotates out. 

  1. Winning Team can stay together or choose to Split
  2. If more than 4 people are waiting, the winning team should only stay on the court for a Max of 2 games.
  3. If more than 6 people are waiting, play to 7 instead of 11 to keep play moving.
  • The serve is underhand (cannot go above waste)
  • A bounce on each side is required before you can volley.
  • There is a no volley zone in front of the net.  Only when a ball bounces into the Kitchen, you can step across the line.
  • If your ball rolls onto another court, please wait until play stops and ask to retrieve your ball.

Kevin is the organization founder of the Medford Lakes Pickleball which started in 2019 and is the fastest growing sport offering multiple leagues, tournaments, special events, and Youth Pickleball Clinics. He is a former USTA National Tennis Champion who played division one college tennis for Rider University.  Nowadays he enjoys playing, organizing, and coaching MLAA sports including Tennis, Pickleball, and Volleyball.
