The MLAA High School Beach Volleyball League will play on Monday nights, beginning May 1st, with games at 6:00pm, 6:45pm, 7:30pm, (and 8:15pm if needed). All games will be played at Beach 3.

Registration is open from 2/25/23 until 4/2/23. Teens currently in grades 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12 are eligible to play. (HS Seniors who are 18 are eligible to play in the HS Beach League, the Adult Beach League, or both.) Registration is limited so please sign up early. Once all spots are filled, the registration will close. LATE REGISTRATIONS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.

Teams in this league are co-ed and friend groups consisting of THREE people will be able to request to be on the same team. (Players may also register as free agents and will be assigned to an appropriate team.) When registering, you may list two other people you’d like to play with. Those two other people must also have the same group of three in order to play together. For example, if Harry wants to play on the same team as Ron and Hermione, then Ron would need to list Harry and Hermione, and Hermione would need to list Harry and Ron on their registrations. If that happens, then I can virtually guarantee that the three of them will get to play together. However, if Harry and Ron have the same grouping, but Hermione lists Harry and Neville, then it looks like Hermione does NOT want to play with Ron, so I’m not sure what to do. I can’t just make a group of four, because those quickly become groups of five or seven and then (1) I can’t balance the teams by ability and (2) if a friend group is going to a concert together on a game night, then I have a team with only one or two people. Please coordinate with your friends BEFORE you sign up to avoid any issues.

The season begins on 5/1/23 and will run through the end of June. A one-night playoff tournament will take place on 7/10/23 (rain date 7/17/23).
