MLAA Helps Athletes in St. Kitts
The MLAA made a contribution of uniforms to Healing the Children of Phildelphia, who in turn shared the uniforms with atheltes in St. Kitts located in the Carribean. Kitts-Nevis Football Association President, Peter Jenkins and SKNFA Youth Director Lenny Lake shared their gratitude on behalf of the atheltes.
“This donation may be small to you but it is a tremendous gift to the children of St. Kitts that are a part of the youth football programme. We all know how important it is for sporting individuals to be properly equipped; how it affects one’s psyche to look inappropriate in any setting; and this generous gift will indeed mean a lot to the children not just for appearance sake but for their overall sense of being part of a team" said Jenkins.
"Just last week we were discussing how it was affecting the boys and girls who have a keen interest in the sport but whose parents were not able to purchase the necessary equipment and clothes. Some come in jeans and without socks etcetera and so I know they will be very grateful for all these football outfits and I thank you on their behalf.” said Lake.
